1940's Day Ruffle Dress

"1940s Day Ruffle Dress” Handmade 1940s day dress. This dress is based on a 1940's reproduction blouse with a classic A-line knee length skirt. The blouse is made from a quality soft cotton. A loose fit bodice with collar and ruffle bib detail, trimmed with ric-rac braiding. The pleated 3/4 length sleeves suitable for cooler weather, are gathered to a cuff and have accentuated puff shoulders creating that iconic 1940's shoulder style.

The skirt is an 8 gore shapely classic A-line style. Not lined. Side zip. We recommend a slip underneath if wearing with tights.

A classic sweet reproduction 1940's dress perfect for mid-season.

Many pieces are one-off or short runs, so you are guaranteed to find something that is unique and original, whether it be a 1960's inspired shift dress or a 1950's Rockabilly skirt with a modern twist. Each item is individually handmade by us in the UK. We create our designs by modernising vintage patterns, designing our own patterns from scratch and customising old vintage clothing.
