Woodland Walks 1950's Vintage Dress

" Woodland Walks " 1950s Vintage Dress. This beautiful and unusual 1950s day dress is made from a soft medium weight dress twill in a rich sage green. It is decorated with felt red flowers and brown leaves across the neckline and around the bottom hem. Cream ruffle lace decorates the neckline. It has a fitted bodice, with a gently flared skirt that falls below the knees. Short sleeves, button fastening at the nape, and a belt at the back for waist adjustment. There are a few colour run marks on the dress, and the lace has slightly yellowed with age.
This really is a stunning, unusual day dress made for Sunday strolling through the woods!

At Electric Gypsy we also have our own label of handmade vintage and retro inspired clothing. We use a mixture of original vintage fabrics and kitsch cool new fabrics. Many pieces are one-off or short runs, so you are guaranteed to find something that is unique and original, whether it be a 1960's inspired shift dress or a 1950's Rockabilly skirt with a modern twist. Each item is individually handmade by us in the UK. We create our designs by modernising vintage patterns, designing our own patterns from scratch and customising old vintage clothing.
